The New Delhi Taxi – “Tintin in Tibet” (1960) Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock stop over in New Delhi! They take the opportunity to visit the city but time is short because the plane to Kathmandu leaves in twenty-five minutes. Captain Haddock unintentionally hires a taxi which despite multiple twists gets them to the airport on time. This scene, imagined by Hergé, forced his collaborator Michel Demarets to look for a convertible that would suit the situation, he opted for the 1939 Cadillac Fleetwood.
2020 launching a new series of diecast 1/24 scale model cars. You will be thrilled by their appearance, they are bigger, yes twice the size, they shine like the sun, and the wheels do go round! And the detail is incredible, nothing is missed from Hergé’s masterful pen strokes.
They come in a clear Perspex case, that has a design on it to highlight the adventure, along with a brochure in French and English.
